Re-discovered this photo that I took in Whitby Bay. Went there in the summer of 2010, although the weather wasn't very summery! But then again, this is England after all.
Photoshop CS4 The left hand half was the original image. Duplicated and mirrored.
:) I love Whitby bay, definately will return some day.

So It's been a while...

It's been a long while. It's December which means Christmas is vastly approaching and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Daunted maybe? SO much to do!! Here's some of what I have been doing, enjoy!

I've been Oil Painting a lot of clouds. My current project is an experimental book project so the end product must be a 'book' of sorts, that term seems to be used loosely though... This for me is all prep work for one of two ideas.

For the same project. Looking at typography and cutouts.
An Illustration in the early stages, still can't decide if I should paint her because as she is I'm fairly happy... so
Here is a closeup painting in oil on wood, also in the early stages...
I'm so new to oil paint so there are a lot of learning curves to take at the moment but so far I'm really enjoying it and the tinniest amount of linseed oil goes a VERY long way!
I'm pretty happy with her left hand, I generally struggle with hands as do a lot of us out there.
More to come!
Have a lovely day,

To do or not to do?

That is the question! I do have a project to be working on but there are so many other things (Illustration related of course... Or maybe just creative related) I need to get my priorities in the right order that's  for sure.
In the mean time this is the work of Kate MccGwire I've just discovered her today and she literally blows my mind, Everything she does has such care and finesse. The attention to detail, the delicacy, the flow. So so beautiful and inspiring. Her work is making me feel literally giddy with excitement. I would LOVE to see all of it in the flesh (Or in the feather you might like to say) Dare I say it, I am in love.

Have an inspiring day!

Number. 2

Until the next time I have my personal laptop somewhere with the internet this is my tumblr a place for all my likes, interests and inspirations. I love having the archive there as a pre made moodboard that needs not much maintenance to keep me inspired and motivated!

The real beginning.
Times are changing. Procrastination was my middle name for years. Not any longer. is my old unsuccessful (due to my own disorganization) blog. To which I lost the login details. Typical!
I can finally (and honestly) say I feel my old habits are fading away. This summer I've surprised myself. I've done more work in this one summer than my whole first year of uni! If I keep this up for second year which is vastly vastly approaching I'll be on good key for 3rd year and the dream of getting a first. I do have it in me I'm sure of it!
So here's to a completely fresh start!
Cheers BigEars!
