I'm afraid I have been neglecting this blog. Apologies!
Here's a brief update;
I have now handed everything in for the final part of my degree! Scary times!
The degree show is up from the 14th-19th of June in the new building at Manchester School of Art so be sure to come and check it out!
For a more detailed back track over the past few months check my tumblr - www.charlottejosephine.tumblr.com aaaaand instagram - http://instagram.com/charlottejosephine23
In all honesty I will probably delete this account soon. It is just too time consuming per post with having to pre upload pictures elsewhere to prevent them coming out at a very poor quality. Where as Tumblr and Instagram etc are far more instant!
Lots of love
Charlotte

Half Way To Graduation
Drum roll please!
The Dissertation is OVER!!! Let us not think of it again until results.
Alas, no time to relax, so much to do!
I can't believe I'm so close to graduating.
Helping me through is Die Antwoord! I've been obsessed for a while and think it's now time to share!

Playing with Photoshop and Illustrator
Riso
On Tuesday at Uni we discovered Risograph Printing which, in a nut shell is pretty much like screen printing but cheaper, faster and in an actual printer. I LOVED it! I can't wait to experiment with it in the new year, and the best thing is its SO CHEAP!! So I've gone through my sketch book and gotten my ass onto photoshop! This will be my first trial after christmas!

Bat For Lashes
Last month I saw Bat For Lashes (Natasha Khan) Play at Manchester Cathedral. Phenomenal! Words can't even begin to describe how amazing everything about the evening was!
The day after I was fooling around in ceramics having a go at drawing into semi dry clay. I drew Natasha, I don't think it looks like her but I was happy with the outcome anyway. Also I really enjoyed the process so there may well be more of this to come!
I love how different it can look just from a slight change in lighting too.
Peace

Cake skills
Randy Marsh Cake!
A little While ago it was Joe's birthday.. Above are some of the things I got for him, along with the cake that I spent a hell of a long time making! It was totally worth it though because he loved it! Randy Marsh aka Stan's dad from South Park is his favourite character and that's why I chose him to make. The cake was a Nigella Lawson Recipe! It was DELICIOUS!!! If you want to try it it was the Buttermilk Birthday cake from her book Domestic Goddess, Page210!!
Lotsa love

Gibraltar and Morocco
The day I handed everything in for uni (in May) Joseph and I travelled home to Nottingham ready to get a plane to Gibraltar the next morning! Here are a few snaps from our journey...
We landed to this impressive view of the whole of Gibraltar!
Our hotel view
On the first full day we spent 8hours exploring the Gibraltar Rock. We took the cable car up but walked down after trekking about seeing as much we could!
A cheeky monkey came and drank from my bottle! He was a thirsty little thing!!
We got up close and personal with some of the younger monkeys!
Mummy and baby monkey.
Joseph, Monkey and Me
On day two we took an excursion to Morocco! Fascinating place, I've never experienced people on the hard sell like that before. Incredible place though!
Camel time!
Sadly because we were rushed around so quickly to fit as much into the day as possible I didn't manage to get any good shots of the tiny streets and that happenings going on!
Back in Gibraltar that evening we crossed the boarder into spain for dinner and decided we would hire a car for our final 24hours.
I need to finish the film off in our underwater camera so I can develop our photos from the beach
Spain and the runway dividing them from Gibraltar.
On our final night we watched the sunset from the rock.
The perfect end.
I came home as pale as when we left. Joe on the other hand!!
That's all for this update!
